EMPLOYEE ASSESSMENTS
Employers and managers, what is your most important resource? Your people!
If you and your employees are not doing your specific job tasks with proper body mechanics, your bodies will fall into patterns that will more than likely lead to injury down the road.
Whether an individual sits (or stands) at a computer, drives a semi or other vehicle, teaches in a classroom, does research in a lab, assembles parts in a manufacturing plant, colors and styles hair in a salon, works in construction, or does something entirely different, there is a “best” way for them to position their bodies.
Because every job and every body is different, an individualized approach to body mechanics is the key. That’s why I come to you and give each of your employees a personalized plan.
Here’s what you can expect:
Presentation: I will give a short (about 10 minutes long) presentation to your employees so that they understand why I am visiting and how I will help.
One-on-One: In 10 to 15 minutes, I can assess how a particular employee does their job. I suggest changes for their workplace set up and body positioning that they can implement immediately. My goal is to teach each employee the basic concepts of joint protection so that they can begin to gain self-sufficiency in caring for their own bodies.
Follow-Up: I write up an overview of my conversation with each employee and send it to them so they can reference it going forward. I also report back to you with major themes.
For best results, quarterly or twice-yearly visits are suggested. Consider starting new employees off right by making body mechanics training part of their orientation!
Voluntary participation by employees is highly preferred.
